February 28, 2017 (Denville, NJ) – Saint Clare’s Denville Hospital recently appointed Dr. Prashant
Desai as medical director of radiation oncology at the Center for Cancer Care.
Dr. Desai is a board-certified radiation oncologist with expertise in treating
cancers of the breast, lung, head and neck, central nervous system, gastrointestinal
tract, and genitourinary system. He has extensive experience using stereotactic
radiosurgery and stereotactic body radiotherapy to treat benign and malignant
tumors in the lungs and central nervous system.
“Dr. Desai will be a critical asset to our healthcare team, especially
as we work to expand the services we provide at our Center for Cancer
Care,” said Dr. Neil Udani, chief medical officer at Saint Clare’s
Denville Hospital. “His leadership and vision will help to enhance
our ability to provide high-quality, convenient cancer care close to home.”
Dr. Desai most recently served as associate director of radiation oncology
at Pinnacle Health Cancer Center in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He received
his medical degree from University of Texas Health Science Center and
completed his radiation oncology residency at New York Presbyterian/Weill
Cornell Medical Center. Dr. Desai has also authored multiple research
publications and has presented at national conferences.
