Overview

Living with cancer can often lead to issues that impact mobility or bodily functions, impair quality of life, or lead to frequent hospitalizations. Our cancer rehabilitation program combines the expertise of physical, occupational, and speech therapists to help patients retain or regain functions lost to cancer or its treatment

Our Approach

Patients must contact their physician to discuss the need for cancer-related rehabilitation and request a referral. Once the referral is made, we will schedule an evaluation for you with one of our expert physical, occupational, or speech therapists.

We provide treatment of secondary complications from cancer treatments, including:

  • Pain
  • Cancer-related fatigue
  • Joint stiffness
  • Lymphedema
  • Chemo-induced neuropathy
  • Radiation fibrosis
  • Muscle wasting
  • Osteoporosis
  • Decreased function
  • Speech or swallowing difficulties

As with all our programs, our cancer rehabilitation program is individualized to meet the needs and therapy goals of each patient. Examples of services that may be included in a therapy plan include:

  • Patient/family education
  • Risk reduction for lymphedema and infections
