Overview
Career Services at Saint Clare’s offers comprehensive strategies
to assist adults with a psychiatric disability to be successful in their
vocational and educational pursuits.
Our experts work with clients at every step of the education and employment
processes, from the enrollment process or hiring process to ongoing support.
Our Programs
Supported Employment: Supported Employment provides services to Morris County adults (18+) with
a psychiatric disability who have a desire to be employed. Employment
specialists facilitate job networking groups, administer career assessments,
engage in navigating online job searches, and provide linkages between
participants and employers within the community. Employment specialists
aid participants with resume writing and interviewing skills, and provide
ongoing support through job coaching and peer support groups.
Supported Education: The Learning Enhancement And Resource Network (L.E.A.R.N.) provides services
for adults (18+) with a psychiatric disability in Morris, Bergen, Sussex,
and Passaic Counties who desire to pursue higher education. It helps participants
gain access to post-secondary, vocational and certificate programs through
information, resources and support. The goal of L.E.A.R.N. is to create
a climate of encouragement and success while assisting students in completing
their course of study. L.E.A.R.N. helps with the educational enrollment
process, connection to educational resources, and assistance in finding
financial aid, grant and scholarship opportunities.
