Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC)
Course designed for combat EMS/military personnel, including medics, corpsmen, and pararescue personnel, law enforcement and special response teams.
Healthcare Professional Courses
Advanced Cardiac Life Support
The purpose of this course is to develop the skills of physicians, nurses,
respiratory therapists and emergency medical services personnel who are
regularly in emergency cardiac care delivery. Those who successfully complete
the course according to American Heart Association standards will be issued
an AHA ACLS Certification card.
BLS: CPR for Healthcare Providers
CPR for Healthcare Providers – Initial Course:
This 4-1/2 hour curriculum reflects the 2010 American Heart Association
guidelines for healthcare providers. The course includes adult one-rescuer
CPR, adult two-rescuer CPR, adult foreign body airway obstruction, pediatric
CPR , pediatric FBAO, the use of bag-mask ventilation devices for all
victims and automated external defibrillators (AED’S ). This course
is appropriate for nurses, paramedics, EMT’s, police, fire personnel,
lifeguards, etc. Contact the Training Center if your organization is interested
in having the course taught at your place of business.
CPR for Healthcare Providers – Renewal Course
This four hour course has been designed for those persons needing minimal
review or practice before testing. The American Heart Association curriculum
reflects the addition of the use of bag-mask ventilation and also the
use of automated defibrillators (AED’s). This course is appropriate
for nurses, paramedics, EMT’s, police, fire personnel, lifeguards,
etc. that hold a current Healthcare Provider CPR certification. You must
provide a copy of your current card to register for the Healthcare Provider
Renewal Course.
Neonatal Resuscitation Program
The Neonatal Resuscitation Program has been designed by the American Academy
of Pediatrics to teach an evidence-based approach to resuscitation of
the newborn. The causes, prevention, and management of mild to severe
neonatal asphyxia are carefully explained so that health professionals
may develop optimal knowledge and skill in resuscitation.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support
The purpose of the provider course in Pediatric Advanced Life Support is
to develop the skills of physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists &
emergency medical services personnel. Those who successfully complete
the course, according to American Heart Association standards will be
issued an AHA PALS Certification card.
CEVO-A III - Coaching the Emergency Vehicle Operator-Ambulance
A highly interactive course adapting defensive driving techniques to the
unique nature of ambulance work. This course trains drivers to navigate
through traffic safely in both emergency and non-emergency situations.
A must for emergency medical services vehicle operators, this course promotes
critical thinking in pressure situations. (This course does not offer
EMS CEU's.)
Community Courses
Babysitter Course
Nationally recognized Safe Sitter Program® for 10 - 14 year old babysitters, covering infant and child CPR, obstructed
airway procedures, and rescue breathing. Topics such as telephone calls,
visitors, water hazards, diapering, feedings and basic first aid are discussed.
Participants receive a Safe Sitter Program® Course Completion Certificate. Ask us about having a Safe Sitter Program® at your own location including, girl scout meetings and mother's groups!
Defensive Driving Course
This 6 hour course will better prepare you to drive defensively. It is
recognized throughout New Jersey by all car insurance companies and qualifies
the attendee for a 5% cost reduction for three (3) years. You may also
apply for a reduction of two (2) points off your license, through NJDMV.
Friends & Family CPR
This 2.5 hour American Heart Association class is geared for those who
do not require certification yet want to learn Adult, Child and Infant
CPR and choking. AED use is demonstrated. This is geared for the public
and encourages all citizens to learn CPR so that more lives may be saved.
Friends & Family CPR Anytime (Self-Paced At Home Learning)
If you don’t have the ability to attend an instructor led class,
this course is geared for you! This at home, self-directed, personal training
kit includes everything needed to learn CPR and relief of choking. This
format makes it easy for users to extend CPR training to family and friends.
Each kit contains a personal, inflatable Mini AnneCPR® Manikin, Bilingual
English and Spanish DVD, and CPR Reference Card.
HeartSaver AED
This 3.5 hour American Heart Association class includes Adult, Child and
Infant CPR and Choking. This class is designed to meet the needs of security
guards, camp counselors, fitness instructors, personal trainers, boaters
and anyone who requires a course completion card to satisfy regulatory
requirements.
HeartSaver First Aid
This 3-1/2 hour American Heart Association class covers Adult First Aid
basics including injury related, medical and environmental emergencies.
It is designed for participants who have already taken a CPR course but
are also required to earn a certification in adult first aid training.
This course satisfies OSHA training requirements for employees or designated
first responders who have a duty to respond to a first aid emergency.
